Well a few weeks back I visited a place called Battle, aptly named as it was the site of the Battle of Hastings, photographically not very inspiring.....But being there was something to remember. On the actual site of the battle there were no birds singing which made it quite eerie.

It's what was built after that was interesting a monastery, built so finely and carefully.
This is what was left of part of it, this was the crypt underneath.
After this I visited Eastborne, brighton and other nearby places.
