Your view
What is contraversial photography? Well i'm interesteted in your view. I want to know what makes a picture contraversial, is it taboo subjects, or are they shocking images as were taken by Oliverio Toscani for Benetton? Throughout history many images have been slammed, banned, and caused outrage by why?

I never felt that the Benetton adds were controversial.
I have a difficult time answering your question, as I can only tell you if you show me a picture. I make my mind up right there when I see it, depending on the emotions it invokes and on the boundaries it crosses.;)
